Study of Large Families in Belgorod Region of Russia | 24-10-2007
Project Starting Date: September 2007

The research by CEFIR is the first stage of the long-term project on designing the research-based assistance program to large families in Russia and monitoring the efficiency of the program. Although irregular attempts of social surveys of similar type were conducted, there was no full-scaled research aimed at developing the long-term assistance program to large families.

The survey by CEIFR includes a review of the available data and policy options in order to set up a framework for further research, an in-depth study of large families and interviews with local authorities, non-profit organizations, bodies of social safety nets. The project was launched in Belgorod region of Russia with the perspective of expanding to other regions. The results of the research are supposed to have a positive impact both on the development of charity in Russia and on the state policy in this field.
