Appliance of the economic growth models with account of technological progress to forecast the development of the Russian economy | 24-09-2012

The project was implemented for the Institute of economic policy named after E.Gaydar.


The following researches were implemented under the project:
  • simulation modelling of innovations in the energy sector, the assessment of their impact on the energy efficiency and structural changes in the economy;
  • theoretical overview of models of the representative energy system with a clear view of the actually existing and emerging technologies of energy saving and productivity growth;
  • theoretical overview of multi-sector general equilibrium models for the analysis of structural changes in the economy;
  • description of database of the representative energy system model with a clear view of the actually existing and emerging technologies of energy saving and productivity growth;
  • description of database of the multisectoral general equilibrium model for the analysis of structural changes in the economy;
  • analysis of consistency of the representative energy system model with a clear view of the actually existing and emerging technologies of energy saving and productivity growth and multi-sector general equilibrium model for the analysis of structural changes in the economy;
  • analysis of options for integrating the representative energy system model and the multi-sector general equilibrium model;
  • scenario analysis of the results of simulation modelling using the representative energy system model and the multi-sector general equilibrium model;
  • preparation of the report on the research;
  • simulation modelling of innovations in the energy sector, the assessment of their impact on the energy efficiency and structural changes in the economy.
