The University of Pennsylvania presented its 2017 Global Go-To Think Tank Index. Centre for Economic and Financial Research (CEFIR) has been ranked 10-th among 100 Top Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe and the third among Russian think tanks in this particular field according to this index. CEFIR has been ranked 31-th among 140 Top Domestic Economic Policy Think Tanks and the first among Russian think tanks in this particular field. |

- January 31, 2018. The University of Pennsylvania presented its 2016 Global Go-To Think Tank Index. Centre for Economic and Financial Research (CEFIR) was nominated in the category Best Independent Think Tanks among 145 other think tanks. CEFIR has been ranked 10-th among 100 Top Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe and the third among Russian think tanks in this particular field according to this index.
CEFIR has been ranked 31-th among 140 Top Domestic Economic Policy Think Tanks and the first among Russian think tanks in this particular field.

The Think Tanks and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) produces the annual Global Go-To Think Tank Index that ranks world’s leading think tanks with the help of a panel of over 1900 peer institutions and experts from the print and electronic media, academia, public and private donor institutions and policymakers. The global index of think tanks was developed and launched in 2007. Nowadays it maintains the largest, most comprehensive database of over 6,500 think tanks from 182 countries of the world.
