Investigation of the level, structure and specifics of "business" corruption | 03-03-2012
 
The project has been implemented with Moscow Public Science Foundation for Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Project Dates: October — December 2011

Project Summary:

Resistance to corruption is one of the major problems of public policy now. Particular attention should be focused on the problems of «business» corruption — corruption that is occurring in the interaction of economic entities with public authorities and / or officials.

The project is aimed at determining the level, structure and specificity of «business» of corruption, as well as the impact of anti-corruption measures taken on the basis of sociological research.

Under the project CEFIR experts implemented the following objectives:
  • Identify the current level of «business» corruption;
  • Identify and describe the structure and specificity of «business» corruption;
  • Identify the main characteristics of the relations «business» corruption in the spheres of economic activity, as well as by federal districts;
  • Evaluation of efficacy (effectiveness) of the institutions of government measures aimed to resistance the «business» corruption;
  • Identify and analyze the causes and conditions for the appearance of «business» corruption;
  • Development of analytical information about the level and structure of the «business» corruption in the light of previous studies on this subject;
  • Develop proposals to address identified risks of corruption, including the causes and conditions «business» corruption on a timely anti-corruption measures.
