Analysis of barriers to the full-scale and efficient functioning of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space and proposals for their elimination | 15-04-2013
The project is implemented for the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Project Dates: November 2012 — April 2013

Project Goal:

The aim is to identify and analyze the barriers to the effective functioning of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space, and proposals to address them.

Objectives of research:

To achieve this goal the following problems will be solved:

  • Identification and classification of barriers (including technical, economic, administrative, legislative) that prevent the proper functioning of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space (with concrete examples by industry SES);

  • Analysis of the causes of the identified barriers;

  • Analysis of the identified barriers and their impact on the functioning of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

  • Development of proposals to eliminate the identified barriers, including the development of specific algorithms of action and proposals on the legal regulation removing these barriers.
