The impact of restrictions on parallel import on the Russian commodity markets | 10-10-2013

The project is implemented for the Center for Strategic Research.

Project Goal:

The project is aimed at assessing the impact of restrictions on parallel import on the Russian commodity markets.

The objectives of the project are the following:
  • to conduct the desk review of Russian laws and regulations and practices as well as those of Custom Union member states;

  • to develope the economic model of the impact of current restrictions and the abolition of the ban on parallel import on the Russian economy;

  • to conduct the field analysis of the Russian practices (sociological work);

  • to conduct the analysis of foreign (other than those of Custom Union member states) laws and regulations and practices for the principle of exhaustion, including the United States, Japan, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland;

  • to conduct the analysis of the possible effects of the transition to the international principle of exhaustion by selected product groups and categories, as well as «subjects».
